That's why I mean for.. for.. you know I have these stats here where it's like you were you know Thailand, New Zealand and et cetera et cetera.. but I guess for people who don't know who aren't aware how did you end up here. What happened?
As me.. as a 2PM.. um. I went to this Korean Fastival in downtown L.A. K-town. Cause when I was living in America california.. california.. I was say L.A. but actually rancho cocomanga which is like around in an hour from L.A. You know california.. America mostly in california if you don't have... before Uber.. If you don't have a car, you can't go anywhere. (Right, you're trapped) except for your 동네 you know. your hood.
So um.. I've never really went into L.A. until that day. My friends were like "Let's go concert.. bunch of.. G.O.D. bunch of like other singers coming I didn't know any of them. So I was whatching the.. the concert and um some lady aproach me speaking Korean. And I'm like.. no idea what you saying still talking to me lady. I still don't know you saying.
But next to her translator said "She is from JYP and um she would like you to for her back to the hotel to tape an audition. I'm like.. that doese not sounds (So suspicious) ?? at all. I would be killed I don't know like um.. So I say no. And the fact that I hadn't talent at all. I was n ever interested in entertainment except for piano. I like the play the piano back then but nothing like singer or dancing. I couldn't even speak in front of the class. (Oh so you were very shy) like so nervese yeh.
But um anyway they kept calling me within like that week because before they would have to come back to Korea. They were like I need to get you on tape, I need to get you on tape. Nope nope! until they were like okay we just wannna sit down and talk to you. So we'll go to you rancho cucamonga which is like 15 miles from L.A. So they came to my 동네. And um we sat down a coffee shop Starbucks at the busisest time aroud 8 p.m. when people were there studying talking business. An then we were talking inside and they sat up the camera outside of Starbucks.
Shut up! No way~
That's where I taped my audition. Right in front of Starbucks.
So, you tape an audition in like a parking lot essentially
No no, a parking lots here. (little sidewalk thing) walkway. Starbucks. I was on the sidwalk just right there.
That is wild.
And um.. yeah, I did everything that day ask me to.
What was the weird.. what did they ask you do.
Well first, they they had me stand in fron of the camera and they were like introduce yourself all the languages speak it was just English and Tai. And then, do some poses like modeling. So was like. It was really awkward.(It's the one) It was really awkward. They were like "Ok, sing something" and I'm like "I don't know how to..." "It's ok, just sing we just wanna hear you voice" So I sang um.. <All the nothing by oldtown>
What a song. What a had
Yeh, I sang that song cause that was like last song that I was listening to with my friend. Sing that song embarrass and that wasn't enough for them. They were like 'this is.. this kid is not embarrassed enough. So we're gonna make him more embarrassed yeah pulled up escal.. his their they roll in um.. escalator right? Pull that up right in front of Starbucks. Go down a windows cranked up yeah~ by Usher.
So everyone in Starbucks (just staring at you) 'What the hell are they doing?' And I'm like.. "Dance" And I'm like.. I don't know how...let's just just do anything we just wanna see you moves
Oh my word.
Yeah.. and they left after.. okay they're never gonna call me back.. and they did. 2 weeks after they're like.. I want.. we want you to move to to Korea. And that's when it hit me these guys aren't legit. If they were legit, they would never consider to actually call me back or even like after seeing me sing that day they would've stopped there. Oh at the poses they would've stopped there. And then.. and the n they were like they would it just explaining to me what JYP was, who was JYP, JYPark, Rain, G.O.D, that was bunch of other people like Rain work with Will Smith, Rain work with that person. And um like.. Nope still no but then I talk to my grandmother who was fan of Fullhouse Rain. Back then Full House.. Drama Full House was so big in Tailand. And she was like it's a same company Rain's in? You gotta go. So thank to my.. thanks to my grandmother. I got to be hear.
That's wild. I mean ok, but like first of all thank you for sharing that incredebly embarrassing story. I think I got red listening and imagining you in ah.. the walkway. But I'm glad you went through it cause..lololol
And like every time I think about that night it's like life is really funny. where.. this this path this journey in your life where it leads you. Of course you're the one who makes the decision but then you're not the one controling.
Right, it's like a greater power got or whatever.
I'm budist but I believe a greater power.. higher power that.. kind of like guides you through this life.. without making you do anything. You just there just floating.. life.. It's just life.
But so what what got you to other then you mean you're saying you had no interesting do anything entertainment. So what was your moment were like "oh I guess I sould try it. Cause just grandma said Oh, same company doesn't mean you can be like oh I wannna try being a singer or whatever.
Actually I.. my head was blank back then I didn't have future. Cause I'm towards actually towards junior senior year I was actually getting out of line. Not really showing up the school hang out with my friends. It wasn't even like partying or like bad things I was hang out my friends playing badminton. It's so stupid I mean I ditched school to go play badminton in San Gabriel.

It's so stupid like it wasn't like A man I was at the great party go out drunk it wasn't that I was like Hey, come out.. my friend who was in call like he was like this 11 am probably like second on the way like 3rd period hey come out I'm in the parking lot okay let's go play the badminton. Best thing ever.
